Résumé de l'exposé

Fast-transient events are phenomena characterized by significant pressure variations that induce substantial mechanical loads. Most of these events can occur in both single- and two-phasecompressible flows within piping systems. The water-hammer phenomenon is one such example. Traditionally, one-dimensional approaches involving cross-sectional averaging are used to model these events. A general framework is presented here for deriving and analyzing the associated governing equations. Particular attention is paid to the area-averaged Euler and Baer-Nunziato equations in elastic pipes. The main results of the mathematical analysis of the two corresponding systems are summarized. Furthermore, a Finite-Volume framework for the approximation of these equations, based on the integral form of their three-dimensional counterpart, is discussed, along with some numerical results.
